People always want to hear the bad news first, so here it is.The Bad News:Our Earth is dying. And the only thing that can say it is us.Mankind. More and more news about global warming. Greenland shrinking at a fast rate. The Artic too.Thining of ice. Eroding shorelines.Ozone depletion.Nations are now coming together to overcome this challenge that we are facing. This year is likely to go down as the hottest, stormiest and driest ever, making a strong case for the urgent need to combat global warming. Kyoto Protocol, an international treaty that commits 35 industrialized nations to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions more than 5 percent by 2012. Unfortunately, the number one contributer to the world's pollution refuses to join the Kyoto Protocol treaty. It will take years of constant cooperation and patience to overcome this obstacle. The ozone hole over the Antartica seems to be taking a longer time than expected to recover fully. It might take until the year 2065. Therefore this shows that we will be exposed to long term UV rays which is bad for the biodiversity of our planet. We have to act fast, for we will soon perish if we don't.The Good News:A new species of carnivore is suspected to be in the Kayan Mentarang National Park. Photos have been taken of this creature. It is a cat-like creature which has dark red fur and a long, bushy tail. It is currently not 100% sure that it is a new species but until a specimen is captured then it will be proven. Maybe the good news is not really much of a good news. Im just out of things to say. So therefore, I'll be off then. Bye...-Rusy out-
